How to Ride

  • Find your stop and schedule for arriving buses.
  • Wait for the bus at a designated stop, near the bus stop sign or shelter.
  • Arrive at your stop early. Traffic and road conditions may affect bus arrival times. Look at the headway sign above the windshield for the route number and name. When you see the bus approaching, gather your belongings and stand where the operator can see you. If you miss the bus, do not approach a bus after it has begun its departure from the curb into traffic. Bus operators will not open the door after pulling away from the curb.
  • When the bus arrives, enter through the front door. Seating in front is reserved for the elderly and mobility impaired passengers. You must carry on baby strollers and other small items. Do not block the aisles.
  • Notify the operator if you need assistance such as kneeling the bus, using the ramp/lift, or if you become ill.
  • Vacate priority seating at the front of the bus when seniors and people with disabilities board, or when asked to do so by the bus operator.
  • If standing on a crowded bus, move to the rear and make room for others.
  • Do not take more than one seat if the bus is crowded.
  • When traveling with strollers fold them and store out of the aisle.
  • Sit back, and enjoy the ride! Connect to free wi-fi, charge your phone, or watch the infotainment screens for important information.
  • Before your stop approaches, gather your belongings and touch one of the “Stop Request” bars on the wall near your seat.
  • When the bus comes to a full stop, exit from the rear door unless you need assistance or have bike.
  • Tell your friends about My Ride — the easier and free-er way to get around!
